Privacy Policy

CV Pigeon is a trading name of Way of the Pigeon Ltd, also trading as Vibe Pigeon (VibePigeon.com). For any privacy-related queries, please contact us at contact@vibepigeon.com.

We collect the following when you use CV Pigeon:

• Your email address and name (provided at sign-up)
• Credit balance and transaction history (stored on our platform)
• Analysis results: ATS scores, keyword gaps, and improvement notes
• Usage metadata: character counts, timestamps, credit type used

We do not store your CV text or job listing text.

When you submit a CV and job listing for analysis, the text is passed to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing and the result is returned to you. The raw CV and job listing text are processed in memory and discarded immediately after the analysis completes. They are never written to a database, logged, or retained in any form.

We use the data we collect to:

• Provide and manage your account and credit balance
• Display your analysis history (ATS scores, gaps, notes)
• Process payments via Stripe
• Send transactional emails (e.g. credit purchase confirmations)
• Improve the service through aggregated, anonymised analytics

We use:

• Essential cookies: Required to keep you signed in. These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies (optional): Google Analytics, used to understand how the service is used. Only loaded with your consent.

You can change your cookie preference at any time by clearing the relevant localStorage key or revisiting the cookie banner.

We use the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): Processes CV and job listing text to generate tailored CVs and cover letters. Text is not retained by Anthropic beyond the API request.
• Stripe: Processes payments. We do not store card details.
• Google Analytics (optional): Used only with your consent.

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase the data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@vibepigeon.com.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Analysis history records (ATS scores, keyword gaps, improvement notes) are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion. Credit transaction records are retained for accounting purposes.
